Before-and-after alignment and movement photos
These are real clients with different histories, movement patterns, and goals. Their stories show what can happen when we look beyond the painful area and help the whole body work together more effectively.
This active client enjoys golf, pickleball, platform tennis, walking, hiking and bicycling. He originally came to Functional Fitness with right hip and lower-back pain and underwent a right hip replacement during our time working together.
These photos were taken later in our work together, at the beginning and end of the same session. Before the sequence, his body was visibly shifted. His shoulders were uneven, and his hips were positioned to one side rather than directly beneath his shoulders.
After completing a personalized sequence of five exercises, his body appeared more centered and his shoulders and hips were better stacked. He reported that his lower back felt more relaxed and that he felt more balanced and grounded.

These photos show an immediate change in standing alignment after one personalized sequence of five exercises. Lasting change develops through consistent practice and reassessment over time.

This client came to Functional Fitness with persistent low-back pain, nerve symptoms traveling down both legs and pain through her hips and pelvis. Sitting, lifting, twisting and bending could make her symptoms worse. Her goal was to improve her alignment, build strength and feel pain-free for her wedding.
After several months of personalized exercise sequences and consistent reassessment, her body appeared more vertically aligned and better supported. Most importantly, she achieved her goal: she was pain-free for her wedding day.

After: Several months of consistent work
