Meet your Postural Therapist

Meet Courtney — Alignment & Movement Specialist

If you’ve tried massage, physical therapy, or chiropractic care and still struggle with chronic pain, you’re not alone.

I’ve been there too.

My own experience with pain led me to discover alignment and movement—and it changed everything.

Now, I help others find that same relief, clarity, and confidence in their bodies.

My Journey to Alignment & Movement

Early in my career in San Francisco, I dealt with chronic back and shoulder pain. I tried everything—but nothing created lasting change.

That experience pushed me to look deeper.

When I discovered the Egoscue Method, I began to understand the body as a system—how alignment impacts movement, and how movement impacts pain. Instead of chasing symptoms, I started addressing the root cause.

It worked. I finally found relief—and I knew I wanted to help others do the same.

In 2004, I became a certified Postural Alignment Therapist through the Egoscue Institute. That foundation still informs my work today—but my approach has evolved far beyond it.

My Experience Includes

  • 25+ years in the fitness and movement field
  • 2004: Certified in Postural Alignment Therapy (Egoscue Institute)
  • 2008: Founded Functional Fitness, LLC in Meredith, NH
  • Certified in Menopause 2.0 with Stacy Sims
  • Worked with 1,000+ clients across all ages and activity levels
  • Based in Plymouth, NH, offering in-person and virtual sessions

Over the years, I’ve worked with athletes, active adults, teens, and individuals recovering from injury or chronic pain.

Every program is tailored to the person in front of me— because no two bodies are the same.

My Approach

As an Alignment & Movement Specialist, I look at the body as a whole.

I assess how your body is aligned, how it moves, and where it’s compensating —so we can address what’s actually driving your pain or limitation.

This isn’t about forcing posture or chasing symptoms.

It’s about restoring balance, improving function, and helping your body work the way it was designed to.

When that happens:

  • Pain decreases
  • Movement becomes easier
  • Strength builds more naturally
  • You feel more like yourself again

Who I Work With

I work with a wide range of clients, including:

  • Active adults dealing with chronic pain or stiffness
  • Athletes looking to improve performance and prevent injury
  • Teens navigating growth and movement changes
  • Women in perimenopause and menopause needing a smarter approach to strength and recovery

My additional training in menopause allows me to support women through that specific phase—but my core focus remains the same:

  •  restore alignment
  • improve movement
  • build long-term resilience

How I Can Help You

At Functional Fitness, I offer:

  • Alignment & Movement Assessments to identify the root cause of pain or limitation
  • Personalized movement programs to restore balance and function
  • Performance-focused alignment strategies for athletes

Whether you’re local or across the country, you can work with me in person or virtually via Zoom or FaceTime.
